About

The One and Only Dan Evans

Dan Evans –
God fearing husband, father, dog lover and certifiable Funologist – That’s just a fancy way to say I love having fun and creating smiles. I really love what I do.

Born and raised in New Jersey, just a hop, skip, and a jump away from New York City. I had plans to grow-up and become a camera-man for “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” and travel the world. But all that changed when I was accepted into Bloomfield College and enrolled into class CAT-195 / Circus Arts.

The Solution Your School Needs

With The Circus At My School, our goal is to fill that missing piece to educate and entertain at the same time using circus skills as a means to equip each student with the tools to develop their social and emotional learning. We aim to educate the whole child.

The Circus At My School is a 10 day Arts-In-Education residency – where students are given an
opportunity to break through personal barriers and discover abilities they didn’t know they had.

Discover the Magic

Multi-Day Residence

Throughout the workshop the students are introduced to the magic of the circus. They practice the skills of traditional circus arts. Pantomime, Juggling, Balancing, Objects manipulations, Slapstick, Magic, Tumbling, Improvisation skills, Choreography and Clown routine design, just to name a few.

It’s not just fun and games – students are encouraged to document their experience with extension activities such as thematic writing and drawing assignments which complement the activities of the program. All leading up to a spectacular culminating performance, where  the students demonstrate their new skills and abilities with the entire school.

The Circus At My School (Home Edition) is designed for families to run away with the circus without leaving the comforts of home.  All you’ll need is enough space to stand with outstretched arms and you are good to go. Your home becomes the center ring, and your child becomes the main attraction.

This program will have your children excited week after week and looking forward to what’s to come next. Imagine learning how to juggle, balance like a pro, what it takes to be a real clown, and much more.

Circus Arts are undoubtedly entertaining but also educational, as every part of this program calls for a great deal of risk-taking, that is, social, emotional, and physical.
